Who can obtain an electronic visa?
For Estonian citizens
The visa must be obtained before travelling.
For stateless persons
You may stay without a visa for no more than 90 days per year.
For citizens of Ukraine
Up to 90 days without a visa.
For EU citizens
The visa must be obtained before travelling.

Required documents
1. Copy of the passport
- A copy of the passport can be taken with the rear camera of a mobile phone.
- Only a copy of the page with personal data and photograph is required.
- The passport must be valid for at least 6 months at the time the application is approved.
2. Digital photograph of your face
- The photograph can be taken with the rear camera of a mobile phone.
- The background must be light, plain, and without shadows.
- The photograph must not be older than 6 months and must reflect your current appearance.
- The photo must be taken strictly full-face: looking straight at the camera, eyes open, mouth closed.

4. Medical insurance policy (optional)
- For obtaining an electronic visa, a medical insurance policy is not mandatory.
- The insurance policy must be issued before the start of the trip and must cover all dates of stay in Russia.

A unified electronic visa is valid for 120 days from the date of confirmation and allows you to stay in Russia for no more than 30 days from the date of entry.

General information about the electronic visa to Russia
For what purposes is the e-visa suitable?
The electronic visa is suitable for a private trip, a business visit, as well as for participation in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic and sports events.
Single entry
A unified electronic visa is single-entry. For a repeated trip, a new visa must be issued.
Length of stay
You may stay in Russia under an electronic visa for up to 30 days from the date of entry. At the same time, the day of entry and the day of departure are counted as full days.
Insurance
You must have a valid medical insurance policy for the entire period of stay in Russia. Insurance can be arranged either at our visa centre or by sending an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., stating your surname, first name, phone number, personal code and travel dates.
Visa extension
Extension of the electronic visa or the permitted period of stay is possible only in exceptional cases, for example, emergency treatment or force majeure.
